From high speeds, to huge jumps this board can handle anything you throw at it, rides really nice in the powder too, plus a super strong edge hold thanks to magne-traction.
Award winning Banana Tech Magne-Traction geometries and construction! Gnu mutant trees are cultivated to blend the best properties of Bamboo, Aspen, and Balsa to provide unbelievable pop! Vectran liquid crystal polymer was developed as the fiber foundation for inter-planetary Mars lander tires and has 10 times the strength of titanium. New Bio-polymer top material made from beans provides the industry’s strongest strength-to-weight ratios and is nice to the environment. SANDWICH CONSTRUCTION
Construction Standards and Oddities.
Every Gnu is handmade by snowboarders with jobs in the USA. Gnus are built with tough and fast UHMW external sidewalls and impact resistant end grain internal sidewalls. Ultra-light weight rugged “polymer bumper” sandwich tip and tails are standard on all Gnus. Steel edges are used for control along the contact area and “tucked-in” just past the contacts for minimum spin weight… heavy unnecessary steel edge is eliminated from the tips and tails. Banana Tech, EC2, or C2 BTX Camber/Banana Tech combo and Magne-Traction serrated edges are far from standard but are standard on every Gnu snowboard.
DIRECTIONAL TWIN SHAPE
Longer tip than tail combined with a centered radial sidecut. Rides great in both directions. Focus is on all-mountain freestyle freeride, excels in powder, nose floats and shorter tail reduces surface area for added deep snow controle.
SNITERED 9900 ALLOY BASE
Continuous compression formed for molecular elongation, preserving its amorphous polymer structure, for maximum wax absorption and durability. Tough and fast.
QUASI GLASS
4 way fiber orientation 0/45/45/90. Triaxial and biaxial glass combo for max pop and control. Vectran liquid crystal polymer was developed as the fiber foundation for inter-planetary Mars lander tires and has 10 times the strength of titanium.
EISS 9 UHMW SIDEWALLS
Tough UHMW sidewalls on the exterior laminated to 9 layers of endgrain birch on the inside. Bombproof and gives the board massive pop. good on rails. ULTRA LIGHT SPIN WEIGHT!

GNU has made a commitment to using a new earth friendly, bio-plastic top skin made from beans that feature the highest strenth-to-weight ratio of any top sheet in the industry. Whale there is clearly still the need to invade small, helpless, oil producing contries for power and money, this new age of bio-plastics offers hope of a more peaceful and fruity future!
